Offices are available to ANU and other researchers working in northern Australia. All offices have quality furnishings, are air-conditioned, equipped with Internet access and access to general office equipment. We encourage visitors to use our managed and maintained computers. Visitors are welcome to bring their own computers although on site support is not available. Access to offices at NARU is via formal proposal to the NARU Management Committee. Offices are allocated on the basis of merit of the application and space availability. Nominal office service fees apply. For further information and assistance, contact NARU. Located on our Brinkin Campus are three three-bedroom units and one two-bedroom unit. All units are fully furnished and air-conditioned to suit our climate. Residential accommodation is provided to support research activities, and conferences and meetings hosted in Darwin.

The tranquil grounds with abundant wildlife make for an ideal meeting environment. Our seminar room is equipped with an integrated Audio Visual system including Power Point, Internet access, VCR, DVD, TV, CD and Radio all presented via large format video projection. The seminar room can accommodate up to 60 people in theatre style. Tea and coffee making facilities are available. Our vehicles are selected and equipped with consideration to your safety, luggage/equipment space, and distances to be travelled.

Survival in the OutbackAdequate preparation before undertaking a journey in the outback will lessen the chance of risking human life. A Survival Guide is placed in each of the NARU vehicles, and we do recommend you access the following link to assist in the preparation and planning of your journey. http://www.police.wa.gov.au/RecruitingandTheAcademy/pdf/aids22.pdf Fieldwork EquipmentField equipment has been selected for quality, durability and climate suitability. Equipment can be supplied for a two day journey up to a six month expedition. Equipment available includes satellite phones, GPS units, portable fridges, eskies, tents, swags, water bottles, camp stoves, tables, chairs, kitchen sets and even camp kitchen sinks! Equipment charges are nominal to cover repairs, replacement. Call charges apply for satellite phones. Pillows, blankets, sheets and sleeping bags are not supplied. Should you identify an item that we do not have and could be used by others, we will consider supplying it. Please contact us with your detailed requirements.
